About the Mastercard Agrisiti Hybrid Digital Training Program

The 12-week training initiative is delivered under TAGDev 2.0, a collaboration between Mastercard Agrisiti, RUFORUM, and the Mastercard Foundation.

The programme focuses on:

  • Regenerative and climate-smart agriculture
  • Agribusiness development and value-chain opportunities
  • Youth employment and food security solutions in Africa

It is specifically structured to support young people who may not have formal agricultural education but are eager to build practical, income-generating skills within the agricultural ecosystem.

How the Program Works

βœ” Hybrid Learning Model

  • Mobile-first digital training delivered through Telegram and the Agrisiti learning platform
  • Physical learning hubs in selected Nigerian states, including Ogun, Rivers, and Kano, for hands-on activities

βœ” Inclusive & Flexible

  • Accessible to participants across Africa
  • Suitable for youths balancing learning with work or other commitments

βœ” Practical & Market-Driven

  • Emphasis on real-world agribusiness applications, not theory alone

Key Benefits of the Program

Participants in the Mastercard Agrisiti TAGDev 2.0 program gain:

  • Practical knowledge of modern agribusiness value chains
  • Hands-on training in regenerative and climate-smart farming practices
  • Access to mentorship from agribusiness and startup professionals
  • Networking opportunities with peers, cooperatives, and support ecosystems
  • Exposure to cooperative models and startup support systems
  • A recognised digital certificate to boost employability and credibility

This makes the programme ideal for youths seeking free capacity-building opportunities in agriculture with long-term career relevance.
