9mobile, known for its customer-centric approach, recently collaborated with tech giant Microsoft to host a capacity-building session for journalists. The aim was to equip them with innovative tools to enhance their skills and performance in the field. Held at the Microsoft Africa Development Center (ADC), the session brought together media partners from print and online platforms.

At the heart of the training session was the introduction of Microsoft Copilot, an advanced AI-powered tool designed to streamline workflow, boost productivity, and elevate output quality. Through this partnership, 9mobile and Microsoft sought to empower journalists with the skills and knowledge to effectively leverage Copilot in their daily work.

Chineze Amanfo, PR lead at 9mobile, expressed satisfaction with the session, highlighting the company’s commitment to fostering innovation and empowerment in the media industry. She emphasized the pivotal role of the media in shaping public discourse and driving societal change, underscoring the importance of equipping journalists with tools like Microsoft Copilot to disseminate accurate and impactful information efficiently.

Orimolade Oluwamuyemi, Senior Business Programme Manager, Marketing Communications, Microsoft Africa Development Center, applauded participants for their engagement and encouraged them to promote AI responsibility. He emphasized Copilot’s potential to revolutionize journalism, making content generation, optimization, and productivity enhancement more efficient.

The capacity-building session received positive feedback from attendees, who appreciated the practical insights and demonstrations provided. They recognized Copilot’s versatility and its potential to transform their workflow and journalistic endeavors.

With the successful hosting of the session, 9mobile and Microsoft look forward to continued collaboration to drive positive change and innovation within Nigeria’s media ecosystem.
