9mobile, Nigeria’s customer-friendly company, has taken a significant step in promoting the mental well-being and physical fitness of Nigerians through the Yaba Fitness Fair in partnership with FitnessPlus. The event, held in Yaba, Lagos, showcased a diverse range of fitness activities and mental health resources, emphasizing the importance of a healthy lifestyle and overall mental well-being through keeping fit.

Chineze Amanfo, Public Relations Lead at 9mobile, stated, “At 9mobile, we believe that a healthy body and mind are paramount for a fulfilling life. By supporting events like the Yaba Fitness Fair, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of physical fitness and mental well-being in our daily lives. We are delighted to have been part of this initiative and are committed to continuing our efforts in promoting a healthier and happier society.”

“In an era where the importance of mental health is gaining widespread recognition, 9mobile is taking proactive steps to address this issue. For almost four years, it has been at the forefront of promoting mental health with its 9mobile Health Talk Series, collaborating with mental health experts, and counsellors to speak on issues around mental health”, Amanfo added.

In her welcome remarks, Lara Olowookere, Chief Executive Officer of FitnessPlus, thanked 9mobile for the support adding that “Yaba Fitness Fair was born out of our belief that fitness should be a way of life. If you are deficient in mental and physical wellness, it can affect everything you do”. She said, “We are elated by the huge number of participants across all age brackets who turned up for this event.”

Amanfo also encouraged everyone to take advantage of the fair and make fitness a lifestyle as it helps in managing stress and enhancing mental resilience. “Mental health is as vital as physical fitness, and they often go hand in hand. At 9mobile, we are deeply committed to promoting mental wellness and physical health. Our initiatives are designed to raise awareness, provide support, and foster a sense of community around these important topics,” she further stated. 9mobile’s active involvement in the fair underscores the company’s commitment to the holistic wellness of its customers and the community at large.

The Yaba Fitness Fair aligns with 9mobile’s ongoing initiatives to support community development, health, and education. The company remains dedicated to creating a positive impact on the lives of its customers and the communities it serves.

The Yaba Fitness Fair brought together fitness enthusiasts, health professionals, and the local community to engage in aerobics, fitness challenges, stretches, tips on healthy living, tips on nutrition, dance, and other fitness challenges.
