Stitch Introduces WigWag: A Seamless Payment Solution Tailored for SMEs
Share

South African payments infrastructure company, Stitch, has unveiled WigWag, a user-friendly payment solution designed to cater to the needs of SMEs and individual business owners. This innovative offering is powered by the robust Stitch API, enabling businesses to effortlessly handle transactions without the necessity for coding expertise.

Established in February 2021, Stitch has swiftly emerged as a pivotal player in the payments infrastructure sector, providing businesses with tools to enhance efficiency and accelerate growth. Leveraging the Stitch payments API, companies from various industries can seamlessly integrate with the financial system, providing their users with a seamless payment experience.

Having secured a total of US$27 million in funding, Stitch has established its presence in key locations including Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Lagos. Back in March, the company expanded its portfolio by introducing the Stitch payments suite, specifically tailored to address the complex payment requirements of businesses, offering them enhanced flexibility and customization.

The recent launch of WigWag further reinforces Stitch’s commitment to serving small and growing businesses. This platform empowers businesses to start accepting both local and international card payments within a matter of minutes, eliminating the need for a dedicated website or developer resources. Instead, entrepreneurs can effortlessly send a unique payment link to their customers via various communication channels such as chat or email.

Danielle Laity, WigWag product manager at Stitch, emphasized the importance of recognizing that payment solutions must cater to diverse business needs. She stated, “At Stitch, we realize payments aren’t one-size-fits-all. Small businesses require access to simple, out-of-the-box tools that can make it easier and faster to collect payments. We created WigWag specifically with these small business clients in mind. Now anyone can have access to reliable payments, powered by the Stitch API, and offer their customers a truly seamless experience.”

Businesses keen on leveraging the benefits of WigWag can easily sign up by creating an account on the official website. This new offering from Stitch promises to be a game-changer for SMEs, simplifying payment processes and enhancing the overall experience for both businesses and their valued customers.
