Share

Bilaad Realty Limited, in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility, has established the Bilaad Development Trust (BDT) to uplift 30 young female entrepreneurs in Nigeria. This initiative focuses on Education, Entrepreneurship, and Change Advocacy, addressing critical social issues in the country.

A pioneering concept, GEM HUNT, spearheads efforts to bridge education gaps and catalyze growth in entrepreneurship, particularly for women. The first installment, “The Future in Perspective,” took place on February 14, 2023, followed by GEM HUNT Series – 2.0, titled “30 Under 30 Women in Business,” held at the Shehu Musa Yar’ Adua Centre, Abuja-FCT on October 3, 2023.

This creative endeavor centers on identifying and supporting Small and Medium businesses, especially those led by women under 30 in Nigeria. The GEM HUNT Series – 2 competitions spanned all 36 states, with zonal rounds held in six selected states, culminating in the Grand Finale in Abuja.

Among 30 contestants, all female entrepreneurs under 30, representing diverse states and regions, eight exceptional winners emerged across various business categories, including Services, agriculture and agro-allied, food processing, and fashion. The Bilaad Development Trust’s endeavor is set to create a thriving future for these talented entrepreneurs.
