Share

The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) announces the commencement of the second edition of the NSIA Prize for Innovation, offering a combined prize value of $220,000 and an all-expense-paid, five-week training at Draper University, Silicon Valley, USA.

Building on the success of the maiden edition, which attracted over 2,000 applications, the program aims to support entrepreneurship, empower innovators, and drive job creation within the Nigerian tech ecosystem. The selection process will identify 10 finalists who will have the opportunity to pitch their solutions to angel investors, secure additional investment, and gain global exposure.

NSIA Managing Director, Aminu Umar-Sadiq, emphasizes the Authority’s commitment to fostering innovation and improving socio-economic indicators. The program seeks to position home-grown talents for global relevance by providing education, mentorship, and financing to early-stage startups.

The NSIA Prize for Innovation focuses on key priority sectors including financial services, agriculture, power, healthcare, education, and manufacturing, aligning with the Authority’s vision to drive transformative and scalable positive impact through technology-driven solutions.
