Ministry Unveils 3MTT Learning Community Managers For all 36 states in Nigeria
Share

The Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy has announced a groundbreaking partnership worth N1 billion with IHS Nigeria to bolster the 3MTT Learning Community. This initiative aims to empower tech talents across Nigeria.

In a significant stride, the Ministry has appointed 3MTT Community Managers for all 36 states in Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). These managers will play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting participants through the 3MTT programme, leveraging the tailored Learning Platform provided by IHS Nigeria.

Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, the Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovations & Digital Economy, emphasized the importance of public-private collaboration in driving Nigeria’s digital transformation journey. He hailed the partnership with IHS Nigeria as a stepping stone towards making Nigeria a net exporter of tech talent, in line with the Strategic Blueprint.

As part of IHS Nigeria’s commitment, the company will cover the salaries of the 37 dedicated learning community managers nationwide. Furthermore, access to the IHS Learning Platform will enhance talent development efforts within the 3MTT programme.

Mohamad Darwish, CEO of IHS Nigeria, highlighted the alignment of this initiative with national agendas and sustainability goals. Investing in digital skills, he emphasized, fuels job creation, innovation, and economic diversification.

This collaboration underscores IHS’s dedication to nation-building, complementing their recent milestone of rolling out over 10,000 kilometres of fibre optic cables nationwide. This infrastructure upgrade aims to boost broadband access and next-generation digital services across Nigeria.

As momentum builds, the role of 3MTT Community Managers will be pivotal in nurturing Nigeria’s burgeoning tech ecosystem.
