Share

The African Union Civic Tech Fund (AUCTF) is thrilled to announce the launch of its second round, inviting dynamic African initiatives to leverage technology for transformative action. If you’re passionate about driving citizen-led change across Africa using innovative civic tech solutions, this call is for you

Successful applicants stand to receive up to €15,000 in financial support to scale and accelerate their civic-tech projects. It’s a unique opportunity for local organizations and projects registered within African countries to make a tangible difference.

What is AUCTF 2.0?

AUCTF 2.0 is a 12-month initiative aimed at catalyzing and scaling innovative civic tech solutions across the African continent. It recognizes the pivotal role of technology in fostering meaningful citizen participation in governance spaces. By harnessing data and digital technologies, AUCTF aims to address governance and development challenges while empowering Africa’s youth to shape the continent’s future.

Why Civic Tech Matters

Civic participation is a cornerstone of social change and democratic governance. AUCTF is seeking initiatives that utilize technology to promote civic engagement, transparency, and community-driven decision-making. By facilitating inclusive public participation, these initiatives strengthen democratic governance and foster a more equitable society.

Supporting Africa’s Transformation

The AUCTF provides not only financial assistance but also technical support to amplify citizen voices. It prioritizes initiatives that align with Agenda 2063, Africa’s blueprint for inclusive and sustainable development. By supporting projects that contribute to this vision, AUCTF aims to position Africa as a global powerhouse of the future.

Application Process

Applications for the AUCTF grant close on May 12, 2024. Don’t miss this opportunity to scale up your initiative and make a lasting impact on Africa’s development journey. Join us in driving positive change through technology and citizen engagement.
