Share

Mastercard, in partnership with Onafriq (formerly MFS Africa), a leading pan-African payments company, announces a collaboration aimed at improving payment options for consumers and SMEs across Africa.

With a shared dedication to enhancing financial inclusion through an omnichannel approach, the collaboration aims to drive the growth of digital financial services, including mobile money transactions, cross-border remittances, and settlements.

Amnah Ajmal, Executive Vice President of Market Development, EEMEA at Mastercard, underscores the importance of accessible digital payment solutions in empowering consumers to embrace digital commerce. Mastercard aims to utilize fintech partnerships in Africa to catalyze transformative change across industries, benefitting individuals, communities, and businesses.

Dare Okoudjou, Founder and CEO of Onafriq, highlights the company’s focus on minimizing borders’ significance by providing networks and digital payment solutions to grant all Africans access to the financial services necessary for business scalability and seamless transactions.
