Share

The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has announced the launch of a monthly empowerment program aimed at boosting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the state. Through this initiative, 5,200 women will receive a monthly stipend of N50,000 each until the conclusion of the governor’s tenure.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf shared this update on his Twitter handle, expressing his commitment to supporting SMEs in Kano State. The program, managed by the Community Re-orientation Committee (CRC), will disburse a total of N260 million every month to women across the 44 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.

The initiative targets 100 women from each of the 36 rural LGAs and 200 women from each of the 8 metropolitan LGAs. Governor Yusuf emphasized that this assistance is a gesture of gratitude to the women of Kano State for their overwhelming support and commitment during the 2023 elections.

This empowerment program reflects the governor’s dedication to fostering economic growth and empowering women entrepreneurs in Kano State. It aims to provide financial support to women-led SMEs, contributing to the development of the local economy and improving livelihoods across the state.
