Google's Gemini Unveils New Features to Enhance AI Personalization and Image Generation
Share

Google’s AI platform, Gemini, has introduced new tools aimed at personalizing the chat experience and improving image generation, now powered by the latest Imagen 3 model. These updates were revealed in a statement by Dave Citron, Senior Director of Product Management at Gemini, as part of the platform’s broader rollout of features first previewed at Google I/O.

One of the key additions is “Gems,” a tool that allows users to create personalized AI experts on any topic. This feature is now available to Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise users. Citron noted, “Gems offers a customizable AI experience, with pre-made options like Learning Coach, Brainstormer, Career Guide, Writing Editor, and Coding Partner, making AI more accessible and tailored to individual needs.”

Alongside these personalization features, Gemini has also integrated its new image generation model, Imagen 3. This cutting-edge model is designed to generate high-quality images from simple text prompts, supporting various artistic styles such as photorealistic landscapes, oil paintings, and claymation scenes.

Citron emphasized the enhanced creative control for users, stating, “If the generated image doesn’t meet your expectations, you can instruct Gemini to make adjustments, ensuring you remain in charge of the creative process.”

Built with strict safeguards, Imagen 3 continues Google’s commitment to responsible AI. The platform does not support creating images of identifiable individuals, minors, or inappropriate content. In addition, Google has integrated SynthID, its watermarking tool for AI-generated images, to ensure transparency and authenticity.

In the coming days, Gemini will begin offering early access to image generation of people, starting with English-speaking users of Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise tiers. This gradual rollout is part of Google’s efforts to improve user experience and gather feedback for ongoing enhancements.

With these advancements, Gemini aims to set a new standard for both AI-powered personalization and creative image generation, providing users with powerful tools to transform their workflows and expand their creative possibilities.
