Digital Solutions Company Globacom is set to partner with Oyo State to integrate its digital offerings into the state’s tertiary institutions. The announcement was made during a meeting in Ibadan, where representatives from private tertiary institutions gathered to discuss potential collaborations.
Mr. Zakari Usman, Head of Enterprise Business at Globacom, encouraged schools to embrace Glo’s digital solutions to boost productivity, enhance security, and improve operational efficiency.
Mr. Adeniyi Odejobi, Enterprise Business Head for the West Region, highlighted the variety of digital solutions available, including connectivity services, e-governance, smart learning, data vending, security surveillance, sponsored data, Glo Smart Health, and closed user group serialised numbers. He noted, “These solutions will enhance administrative effectiveness, service delivery, and ease of internet connectivity, among other areas of possible collaboration.”
Odejobi emphasized that Globacom’s educational solutions aim to incorporate the internet into the curriculum, providing a user-friendly interface, personalized learning paths, interactive content, and comprehensive reporting and analytics.
Prof. Waheed Adelabu, Oyo State Commissioner for Education, welcomed the collaboration, expressing optimism that Globacom’s digital package would strengthen the ministry’s efforts to implement educational best practices. He praised Globacom for its ongoing support of the education sector in Oyo State, underscoring the potential impact of this partnership on the state’s educational development.
