Oríkì, in partnership with the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) and the United States African Development Foundation (USADF), has unveiled the continent’s first coworking hub dedicated to wellness entrepreneurs. The Oríkì Wellness Hub, launched Friday in Lagos, aims to empower entrepreneurs with the resources needed to tackle common industry challenges, including high electricity costs, limited access to equipment, and difficulties securing credit.

Joycee Awosika, Founder of Oríkì, emphasized the hub’s role in fostering a supportive ecosystem. “The wellness hub offers a collaborative environment where wellness entrepreneurs can access shared workspaces, business support, and mentorship,” Awosika said. “Our mission is to elevate the wellness industry in Africa, equipping entrepreneurs to overcome barriers to growth and success.”

The hub provides state-of-the-art infrastructure to help entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses. By partnering with LSETF and USADF, Oríkì is creating a platform that contributes to economic growth and job creation in Lagos.

Feyisayo Alayande, acting executive secretary of LSETF, lauded the hub as a cornerstone for entrepreneurship in Lagos. “The Oríkì wellness hub aligns with our efforts to create clusters of MSMEs within the same sector. This initiative promotes affordable infrastructure and business support, giving Lagos a competitive edge through innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth in the wellness industry,” Alayande stated.

USADF President and CEO Travis Adkins added, “We are proud to support Oríkì in empowering wellness entrepreneurs through this initiative. This hub will drive sustainable growth, not only in Nigeria but across Africa, shaping a vibrant future for wellness.”

Reflecting on Oríkì’s journey, Ms. Awosika celebrated the hub’s launch as a major milestone coinciding with the brand’s ninth anniversary. “Our journey has taken us from wellness spas to training institutes and franchise networks. This Wellness Hub expands our mission, offering entrepreneurs tools and mentorship to succeed. By addressing the industry’s key challenges, we’re creating a ripple effect of growth and wellness within our communities,” Awosika shared.

This pioneering hub aims to redefine the wellness landscape, providing entrepreneurs with the support to thrive and contribute to a healthier and more prosperous society.
