Ten exceptional women will each receive N1m grants at the grand finale of the “Transitioning to Tech for Women” programme, set for January 15 at The Mike Adenuga Centre in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Organized by ASF.Africa, the initiative is designed to bridge the gender gap in the tech industry by equipping women with technical skills and business acumen. Over the past year, participants have undergone intensive training in backend development, frontend development, DevOps, data science, and the business of tech.

The Chief Executive Officer of ASF.Africa, Peter Dingba, emphasized the program’s importance, saying, “This is more than a grant program. It is a celebration of women breaking barriers in technology.”

At the event, the top 10 participants will pitch their innovative startup ideas to compete for the grants. Beyond the competition, attendees will benefit from panel discussions on tech industry trends, networking opportunities with industry leaders, and the presentation of the prestigious “Outstanding Women in Tech Awards.”

Key partners and stakeholders expected at the event include the United Nations, European Union, GIZ, IFC, United States Consulate, Dutch Consulate, Mastercard Foundation, MainOne, Aruwa Capital Management, Jobberman, AWS, and renowned female tech founders.

ASF.Africa aims to inspire and empower women to thrive in the male-dominated tech space while fostering an ecosystem where innovation, diversity, and inclusion flourish.
