United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc will host an informative webinar for small and medium business owners, focusing on the 2024 withholding tax regulations recently introduced by the federal government. Scheduled for Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 12 noon, the session, titled ‘2024 Withholding Tax Regulations, Specific Emphasis on How They Affect SMEs,’ will be held online via Zoom.

This webinar is part of UBA’s Knowledge Series, a regular seminar/workshop aimed at empowering business owners with valuable insights and best practices for managing and growing their businesses. The upcoming edition will specifically address how the new tax regulations impact SMEs and explore ways UBA’s offerings can support their growth.

Industry leaders, including Babatunde Ajayi, Head of SME Banking at UBA, and financial analysts Adeyemi Adediran and Vincent Okoukoni from Anderson Consulting, will share their expertise during the session.

Shamsideen Fashola, UBA’s Group Head of Retail and Digital Banking, emphasized the value of the webinar, highlighting how the session will provide practical knowledge on the new tax regime, its implications for businesses, and its broader economic benefits.

UBA’s Group Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications, Alero Ladipo, also spoke about the bank’s commitment to empowering SMEs, noting that past sessions have already helped many businesses make significant strides toward success.

With UBA’s deep expertise and an esteemed panel of speakers, this webinar promises to be a must-attend event for SME owners looking to stay ahead in the evolving business landscape.
