Call For Applications: Teach For Nigeria Fellowship

Teach For Nigeria is focused on developing a movement of leaders across the nation who are committed to putting an end to educational inequity. Research reports show that millions of children in Nigeria lack access to an excellent education that will give them a successful future. Thus, Teach For Nigeria exists to change this narrative and break the cycle of ignorance and impoverishment that dwindles our national development and denies us the fulfillment of our vision for a better future.

The Teach For Nigeria Fellowship is a transformational leadership program that equips Fellows with transferable leadership skills to effect change beyond the classrooms in the communities we serve. After the Fellowship, these individuals (known as “alumni”) go on to become educators, public officials, policymakers, advocates, and social entrepreneurs, building on their classroom teaching experience to drive long-term systemic changes in the educational sector in Nigeria.

The Teach For Nigeria model is based on the proven success of 61 countries and six continents, including Teach For America, Teach First UK, Lead For Ghana, Teach For Bangladesh, Teach For Armenia, and Teach For India, which are all part of the Teach For All network.

The Recruitment, Selection and Matriculation unit is one of the programs at Teach for Nigeria that is responsible for enlisting young graduates and professionals into the 2-year Fellowship program. Upon their success at the final assessment centre, we induct them as newly recruited Fellows into the fellowship through strategic matriculation engagements designed to enlighten and inform them about the fellowship program.
