Call For Applications: Business Growth Initiative for Startups (BGIS) For Women-led Startups in Nigeria

The Business Growth Initiative for Startups is a program designed to empower growth-stage businesses in Nigeria by providing tailored support, mentorship, and resources to scale sustainably and profitably.

This program is fully funded by UK International Development, making it free for selected participants.

Businesses are selected based on their growth potential, market traction, and alignment with program goals. A rigorous and transparent evaluation process ensures fairness.

The program includes both virtual and in-person components, ensuring flexibility while fostering collaboration.

Business Growth Initiative for Startups aims to support businesses from all regions of Nigeria to foster a diverse and inclusive ecosystem.

The program runs for nine months, from January 2025 to August 2025, with light-touch post-program monitoring continuing until November 2025.

Eligibility

The program is open to growth-stage businesses operating in Nigeria with proven business models and operational traction.

Benefits

Participants will receive expert-driven support, access to international consultants, capacity-building workshops, branding sessions, and post-program monitoring. Businesses will also gain visibility through media coverage and events.

Tailored Expert Support

Personalized business strategies and mentorship to directly address the startups’ core challenges and key areas for improvement.

Capacity Building

Participate in masterclasses, branding sessions, training, and expert 1:1 consultancy to strengthen business strategies and leadership skills.

Brand Visibility & Communications Support

Boost your startup’s profile through strategic branding efforts and media exposure.

Networking & Global Connections

Connect with industry leaders, mentors, and other innovators to build valuable partnerships and elevate business practices.

Post-Program Monitoring & Support

Light-touch M&E activities and skeletal support to ensure long-term sustainability.

Performance Tracking

Gain insights through ongoing data collection and monitoring to track your progress and refine growth strategies.

Application Process 

Applications are submitted online through our dedicated platform. Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria and provide all required information during submission.
