The Lagos State government has launched MyLagos, a digital platform aimed at enhancing service accessibility for residents while supporting businesses with online listings and streamlined utility payments.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat at the launch, described the initiative as a key step in Lagos’ vision to become Africa’s leading smart city. He noted that MyLagos offers real-time traffic updates, emergency services, tourism information, and an integrated business directory, positioning it as a critical bridge between the government and residents.
Sanwo-Olu encouraged Lagosians to embrace digital transformation by downloading and utilizing the app’s features. He emphasized that the platform reflects the state’s commitment to leveraging technology for improved governance and economic development.
Developed in partnership with MTN Nigeria and other stakeholders, MyLagos is expected to revolutionize urban living in the state. MTN’s Digital Channel Manager, Abdulhakeem Giwa, described the app as a “revolutionary” tool that simplifies navigation, enhances access to essential services, and provides location-based insights on businesses, traffic, and market activities.
With this launch, Lagos State is reinforcing its position as a digital innovation hub, making life easier for residents while fostering a more connected and efficient business environment.
