Flutterwave, one of Africa’s leading payments technology firms, has launched the Flutterwave Accelerate Workshop, a two-day virtual coaching programme aimed at equipping young Africans with essential skills for success in the technology industry.
The initiative targets university students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals, offering them practical training in four key career paths—Data Privacy and Cybersecurity, Design, Marketing, and Product Management. The sessions will be facilitated by experienced professionals, including industry leaders from Flutterwave and beyond. Among them are Ted Oladele, CEO of Mira; Noel Ozoemena, Senior Manager of Branding and Storytelling; Nujinim Egwegbete-Odukwu, Head of Infrastructure Security; Abisola Epoyun, Data Privacy Manager; and Oluwatobiloba Animashaun, Product Manager at Flutterwave.
Driven by the belief that access and opportunity can unlock Africa’s full potential, Flutterwave is focusing on nurturing the continent’s most valuable asset—its youthful population. The company, which is well-known for its innovative financial solutions, is using this initiative to also invest in the talent that will shape Africa’s digital future.
“At Flutterwave, we are passionate about unlocking Africa’s full potential by investing in the next generation of innovators and builders,” said Yewande Akomolafe-Kalu, AVP of Branding & Storytelling. “The Accelerate Workshop serves as both a knowledge hub and springboard for ambitious young Africans poised to transform the continent’s technological landscape.”
The training is designed to go beyond technical instruction by also focusing on soft skills and real-world knowledge necessary to thrive in African tech ecosystems. Participants will gain insights into user behaviour, product development, data privacy regulations, and impactful storytelling.
The virtual sessions will take place on April 26 and May 3, 2025. Interested individuals can register via the official link
Through initiatives like this, Flutterwave continues to demonstrate its commitment to inclusive growth and its vision of an Africa driven by empowered youth and global-ready talent.
