CFG Africa Launches Naira Fixed Income Fund to Bolster Investor Confidence
Share

CFG Africa has unveiled the CFG AM Naira Fixed Income Fund, an open-ended unit trust scheme aimed at offering Nigerian investors a stable and diversified investment option amid ongoing economic and regulatory shifts. The fund is designed to provide liquidity, competitive returns, and risk-managed exposure to high-quality, Naira-denominated fixed income securities.

The fund, which will invest in a mix of sovereign, corporate, and other top-tier debt instruments, targets a broad spectrum of investors including individuals, corporates, high net-worth clients, pension funds, and insurance firms. This wide accessibility aligns with CFG’s goal to deepen participation in Nigeria’s fixed income market and expand its investment product offerings.

According to the Managing Director of CFG Africa, the fund responds to investor demand for stability and predictable returns in a volatile environment. Its benchmark is the yield on the 10-year Federal Government of Nigeria Bond, reflecting CFG’s outlook on interest rates, inflation, and currency trends.

With Rand Merchant Bank Limited serving as the SEC-licensed custodian and AVA Trustees Limited as the independent trustee, the fund’s structure emphasizes transparency and risk oversight. CFG describes the product as part of its larger mission to reshape Africa’s financial ecosystem by delivering reliable, sustainable, and innovative investment solutions.

The launch signals CFG’s intent to play a leading role in strengthening Nigeria’s fixed income market while reinforcing investor trust through professionally managed, resilient financial products.
