The Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS) Deal Room is aimed at connecting impact-focused entrepreneurs with potential investors for funding opportunities. Managed by the African Venture Philanthropy Alliance (AVPA) alongside Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) Co-Creation Hub Nigeria and the UNIDO-ITPO Nigeria office, the ASIS Deal Room presents a unique opportunity for impact-driven projects to demonstrate their innovative business models, connect with investors, explore strategic collaborations and potentially close deals.

If you have an impact-focused project with a compelling and sustainable business model in any of the following sectors – waste management and circular economy, healthcare, agribusiness, renewable energy, e-commerce, financial technology, logistics, EdTech, and micro-finance, seeking a minimum of $200,000 in funding; this deal room is right for you. Please note, that participation in the deal room is strictly by invitation, subject to the availability of slots and final confirmation by the deal committee. Application ends June 23, 2025.

This year’s Deal Room is supported by a coalition of leading development and investment organizations, including the United Nations Industrial Development Organization – Investment and Technology Promotion Office Nigeria (UNIDO ITPO Nigeria), the African Venture Philanthropy Alliance (AVPA), and the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA).

Criteria for Selection:

  • Social Impact: Your business should have a clear social or environmental impact goal, addressing a pressing social issue or contributing to sustainable development in your community or beyond.
  • Innovation: Your business model should demonstrate innovation, creativity, and potential for scalability, showcasing how your solution stands out in the market and brings positive change.
  • Financial Sustainability: Your business should have a clear revenue generation plan and demonstrate the potential for financial sustainability and growth.
  • Stage of Development: Your business should be in operation for at least 2 years, with a revenue-generating product/service already in place.

Selection Process:

The deal committee will review all applications during the review window, and selected projects will be notified via email on the notification date. The selection process will be based on the criteria mentioned above, and the potential of the social impact enterprises to align with the objectives of the deal room.
