Call For Applications: Federal Government Technical Teachers Training Programme 2025  ( Fully Funded – No Tuition or Training Costs)

The Technical Teachers Training Programme (TTTP) is a strategic initiative by the Federal Ministry of Education aimed at revitalizing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Nigeria.

The programme focuses on training teachers in Science, Mathematics, Technical, and Vocational Education who, in turn, will equip students with industry-relevant skills to meet modern workforce demands.

About the Programme

The 2025/2026 TTTP offers a one-year, tuition-free Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) for eligible teachers. It is designed to enhance the pedagogical and technical capabilities of instructors, ensuring they are aligned with 21st-century teaching methodologies and industry expectations

Programme Objectives

  • Upgrade the qualifications of technical and vocational teachers.
  • Improve the quality of teaching in technical schools and colleges.
  • Prepare students for real-world industry challenges by equipping their teachers with relevant skills and methodologies.
  • Promote sustainable development in Nigeria’s educational and industrial sectors.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the TTTP, applicants must:

  • Be a teacher currently teaching technical or vocational subjects in a public secondary technical school or college in Nigeria.
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of service left before retirement.
  • Be medically fit, with a recent medical report required at the point of application.

Programme Benefits

  • Automobile Technology
  • Computer Science Education
  • Electrical/Electronic Technology
  • Training Institutions (Pilot Cohort)

The training will be conducted in collaboration with top Nigerian universities:

  • Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State
  • University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State
  • Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State
  • University of Benin, Edo State
  • Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Bauchi State
  • Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo, Ondo State
