The Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Dr. Emomotimi Agama, is set to deliver the keynote address at the upcoming Comercio Partners’ Half-Year Economic Review and Outlook, slated for Wednesday, July 23 in Lagos.
With the theme “Reconfiguration: From Global Trade to Quantum Innovation, a New Economic Era Emerges,” the event aims to explore shifts in global trade, technology, and economic dynamics shaping Nigeria’s policy and investment environment.
Comercio Partners revealed that this year’s forum will include two high-level panel discussions, alongside the formal presentation of the *Review of the Economy in H1 2025 and Outlook for H2 2025.
The first panel session, titled “Nigeria’s Economic Frontlines,” will bring together prominent experts and voices across sectors. Speakers include Professor Philip Alege, President of the Nigerian Association of Macroeconomic Modellers; award-winning filmmaker and CEO of J-15 Media Network, Femi Adebayo; and Dr. Muda Yusuf, Director of the Centre for the Promotion of Private Enterprise (CPPE).
The second panel, focusing on the “Global Macroeconomic Environment,” will feature Professor Joseph Nnanna, Chief Economist at the Development Bank of Nigeria Plc; Dr. Faith Iyoha, an economist with the Nigerian Economic Summit Group; Tosin Osunkoya, CEO of Comercio Partners Asset Management; and Zeal Akaraiwe, CEO of Graeme Blaque.
The half-year review is expected to provide critical insights into Nigeria’s economic direction amid domestic reforms and shifting global trends, with participants drawn from financial institutions, academia, the creative industry, and the private sector.
