Stanbic IBTC Bank has paid a total of ₦23 million to 148 customers after combining its May and June draws for the Reward4Saving Season 4 promotion. The draws took place at the bank’s Lagos head office, where winners were selected and prizes issued under regulatory supervision.
The bulk of the payout came from the monthly draw: 140 customers each received ₦100,000, adding up to ₦14 million. The bank also ran its first quarterly draw of the season on the same day, which produced eight winners. Seven zone winners claimed ₦1 million each and a grand quarterly winner took home ₦2 million, making the quarterly pool ₦9 million. Together, the monthly and quarterly prizes equal ₦23 million awarded to 148 savers.
Officials said independent regulators observed the process to ensure fairness. Representatives from the Federal Competition & Consumer Protection Commission, the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, and the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority were present for the draws.
To qualify, customers must have kept a minimum balance of ₦10,000 in a Stanbic IBTC Savings Account or the @ease Wallet for a continuous 30-day period. The promotion is built to reward habitual saving and to nudge account-holders toward longer-term financial discipline.
Stanbic IBTC described the May–June distribution as building on a strong start to Season 4. In May 2025 the bank shared ₦30 million among 218 winners, and since Reward4Saving began in 2021 the programme has paid out more than ₦300 million to over 2,000 savers.
Commenting on the draws, the bank’s Country Head of Personal Banking said the initiative is meant to celebrate customers’ commitment to saving and to help them meet practical needs. He noted that the prizes support a range of aspirations, from schooling to small-scale business needs, and reiterated the bank’s commitment to promoting a culture of saving nationwide.
One of the monthly winners, a retiree, described how the prize eased a short-term burden. She said her daughter accompanied her to collect the award and joked that the money had saved them two weeks of petrol costs — a small but meaningful relief.
Stanbic IBTC said the Reward4Saving campaign will continue with further monthly and periodic draws, keeping to the eligibility rules and regulatory oversight that have marked the programme since its launch.
