UBA Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, has reached out to vulnerable groups in Lagos with essential food items and relief materials as part of its charity outreach.
The Foundation visited So-Said Charity Homes Community and SOS Children’s Village, delivering bags of rice, beans, and other necessities to the elderly, children, and other underserved members of the community. The gesture, aimed at easing hardship, also sought to provide comfort and hope to beneficiaries.
Speaking during the outreach, UBA’s Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications said the initiative reflects the Foundation’s broader mission to improve lives across Africa by giving back to the communities where it operates. She stressed the importance of supporting society’s most vulnerable, noting that such interventions are central to the bank’s vision of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.
Leaders of the beneficiary organisations expressed gratitude for the support, highlighting the impact it would have on daily living conditions. The CEO of So-Said Charity Homes Community said the donations would provide much-needed relief in difficult times, while the Programme Director of SOS Children’s Village commended UBA Foundation’s consistent commitment to children’s welfare and called for more collaborative efforts in the future.
The outreach adds to UBA Foundation’s track record of humanitarian interventions, underscoring its ongoing role in addressing social needs and promoting inclusive development across Africa.
