The TW Entrepreneurship 2030 Agenda (#TWEAGENDA), a five-year initiative committed to supporting over 5,000 micro and small businesses in Nigeria, has concluded its Town Hall Series with a grand finale. The programme, championed by The HOW Foundation, is focused on providing practical, innovative and non-financial solutions to drive sustainable growth among entrepreneurs.
Designed as listening sessions to capture the realities of doing business in Nigeria, each town hall was intended for 100 participants. However, the finale surpassed expectations, drawing 150 entrepreneurs from across multiple sectors including beauty, agriculture, fashion, hospitality and the creative industries. Out of more than 4,000 applications received, about 350 small business founders were carefully selected to engage in the series.
The sessions offered a platform for entrepreneurs to share challenges, network with peers and gain insights from industry experts. Organisers emphasised that the initiative is not just about access to funding but about addressing the structural, strategic and operational gaps that limit SME growth. The conversations underscored the demand for knowledge, mentorship and sustainable systems as critical drivers of business survival.
Central to the programme is the #TWEAGENDA Think Tank, a group of professionals publicly nominated to analyse the insights from the town halls and design solutions. The team has already begun shaping recommendations and innovative approaches tailored to the needs identified by entrepreneurs. Their work is expected to lay the foundation for interventions that will support long-term success.
The organisers highlighted that the findings point to a pressing reality: entrepreneurs across Nigeria are seeking more than financial aid. They want strategic support that builds structure and resilience, ensuring their businesses can thrive despite economic uncertainties. The #TWEAGENDA initiative is positioned to deliver that transformation, with updates on the solutions being developed expected before the end of the year.
By closing this phase of its journey, the agenda reaffirmed its commitment to reshaping the SME landscape, empowering business owners with the right tools, strategies and community support needed to achieve sustainable growth.
