The Federal Ministry of Education has announced that Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) identity cards are now available for download directly from trainees’ dashboards. Candidates can access the ID cards under the Student Resources section, where they will also find other essential documents and materials for their training journey.
According to the ministry, the digital ID card includes the trainee’s passport photograph, name, TVET code, and signature, serving as an official verification document across all approved training centres. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to streamline the enrolment and verification process for TVET participants nationwide.
“All 58,000 shortlisted candidates who have been matched to training centres can now download their ID,” the ministry confirmed, adding that those still on pending status should continue to check their dashboards for updates.
While 58,000 trainees have been successfully placed so far, the government reaffirmed its goal of reaching up to 150,000 beneficiaries under the TVET programme. The initiative is expected to equip young Nigerians with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship, supporting the country’s drive to strengthen its workforce and boost small business growth.
