Data Science to Advance Women’s Health (DSAWH) Fellowship 2026

The Data Science to Advance Women’s Health Fellowship is now open for applications for the 2026 cohort. This nine-month programme supports early-career African women researchers dedicated to improving women’s health through data-driven research and innovation. Twenty women from Eastern and Southern Africa will be selected to join a community of scientists, mentors and global health leaders.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be women aged 20 and above.
  • Must be from Eastern or Southern Africa.
  • Must be a master’s or doctoral student, or a postgraduate researcher working on women’s health topics.

  • Support in scientific writing, publishing and dissemination of research.
  • Full sponsorship to attend the DSA Annual Summer School and Workshop.
  • Coverage of open-access publication fees for journal articles.
