SAP Unveils AI-powered Business Assistant and Data Platform to Boost Enterprise Decision -Making
Share

SAP has announced a new wave of AI-driven tools designed to streamline business operations, improve decision-making and connect data across enterprise systems. The announcement was made at the inaugural SAP Connect event, where the company showcased how the integration of AI, data and applications is reshaping the future of enterprise software.

At the core of this innovation is Joule, SAP’s AI engine, now enhanced with role-based digital assistants built to work alongside professionals across different business functions. Each assistant draws on a network of specialised Joule Agents, capable of handling complex workflows so that users can focus on strategy and performance.

SAP said these assistants are designed to orchestrate the right tools and actions for each task, unlocking new levels of insight and productivity. For example, the people manager assistant collaborates with agents like the people intelligence agent to identify issues such as pay discrepancies and support workforce performance. In finance, a new Financial Planning Assistant, powered by a cash management agent, helps optimise cash flow and improve interest yields.

SAP also introduced Business Data Cloud Connect, a platform that securely links SAP’s data cloud with external partner platforms such as Databricks and Google Cloud. With zero-copy sharing, businesses can access real-time SAP data within their existing data environments without duplication, preserving data integrity and context while enabling faster analytics and AI deployment.

Beyond data integration, SAP revealed new AI-native applications including SAP Supply Chain Orchestration, which uses live knowledge graphs to detect risks deep within supplier networks and coordinate proactive responses. Other launches include SAP Engagement Cloud for personalised stakeholder interactions and the next-generation SAP Ariba procurement suite, designed to bring intelligence to every stage of spend management.

Muhammad Alam, a member of SAP’s Executive Board, said the company is moving beyond isolated applications toward an integrated business suite where AI, data and applications work together to power faster decisions, smarter execution and scalable transformation.

SAP described the developments as the start of a new AI-led era focused on building intelligent, resilient enterprises—a shift set to benefit businesses seeking greater speed, clarity and operational strength in volatile markets.
