Call for Applications: SWEEAP Training Program for Women Entrepreneurs
Share

Women entrepreneurs in Kano and Rivers State now have an exciting opportunity to build stronger, smarter, and more competitive businesses through the Scaling Women’s Economic Empowerment through Affirmative Procurement Reform (SWEEAP) training program.

The initiative is targeted at empowering women-led businesses to confidently access procurement opportunities, scale operations, and compete for high-value contracts across public and private sectors.

Why It Matters
Across Nigeria, women-owned enterprises play a crucial role in economic growth, yet many still face barriers to funding, contracts, and visibility. The SWEEAP program was created to close these gaps by helping women understand procurement systems, develop stronger business structures, and access new markets locally and internationally. By participating, entrepreneurs will gain the skills and confidence to turn their businesses into engines of inclusive growth.

What You’ll Gain
Participants will learn strategies for business expansion, effective participation in public and private procurement, and how to leverage export opportunities. The training also provides practical insights into scaling operations, improving competitiveness, and networking with business leaders and policymakers.

Who Can Apply
• Women entrepreneurs based in Kano or Rivers State
• Business must be registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
• Business must have been in operation for at least six months

Tips for Registration
• Ensure your business documents are up-to-date before applying.
• Use an active email address and phone number to receive program updates.
• Prepare a short summary of your business activities and growth goals.
• Submit your application early to avoid last-minute technical issues.
