Archivi.ng Fellowship is a six-month fully funded programme designed for storytellers, researchers, and technologists who are passionate about reinterpreting Nigerian history through archives. The fellowship offers a ₦1 million monthly stipend, project funding, mentorship, and publishing support to help participants complete original projects that educate, challenge, or inspire.
About the Fellowship
The Archivi.ng Fellowship explores the theme “The More Things Change,” a two-year inquiry into Nigeria’s recurring patterns. Fellows are encouraged to work on projects that shed light on how the nation’s past continues to shape its present, whether by analyzing policy cycles, designing digital tools for historical context, or narrating stories of everyday Nigerians.
Why It Matters
Nigeria’s history is often fragmented or forgotten. The Archivi.ng Fellowship provides a rare opportunity for creators and thinkers to bridge these gaps by turning archival materials into accessible, engaging, and transformative work. The initiative is helping to reshape how Nigerians understand their history, culture, and collective memory.
