Call For Applications: Lagos State Free TVET Program for Youths “Get Skilled, Earn Money”

The Lagos State Government, through its Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, in collaboration with the Ishk Tolaram Foundation, has announced the launch of a fully funded Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program for young Lagos residents.

Tagged “Get Skilled, Earn Money,” the initiative is designed to equip participants with practical, in-demand skills and hands-on experience to improve employability and foster self-reliance among youths across the state.

Programme Overview

The empowerment scheme will run for six months, consisting of:

  • 3 months of intensive vocational training
  • 3 months of paid internship, offering industry exposure and real-world work experience

Eligibility

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be aged 18–35 years
  • Possess a LASRRA ID
  • Have at least a secondary school education
  • Be currently unemployed

Available Skills

Participants can choose from several high-demand trades, including:

  • Fashion Design
  • Solar Installation
  • Masonry & Tiling
  • Plumbing & Pipe Fitting
  • Carpentry & Furniture Making
  • Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)

Training Centres

Training will take place at centres located in:
Ikeja, Oko-Oba, Oshodi, Oworonshoki, Ogba, and Ojodu.
