If you’re a university student in Africa with a strong interest in entrepreneurship, innovation, or social impact, the Global Entrepreneurship Festival (GEF) is opening applications for the 2026 Student Ambassador program. This is a chance to represent your institution, join a global community of changemakers and gain exposure ahead of the Festival hosted in Accra, Ghana.
The Global Entrepreneurship Festival is a large-scale international event that brings together entrepreneurs, investors, educators and students to share ideas, network and showcase innovations.
The Student Ambassador role allows young leaders to engage beyond attendance: they act as local representatives, promote entrepreneurship in their communities and access mentorship, networking and leadership development. According to the call, ambassadors will encourage peers in their institutions to engage in entrepreneurial thinking and innovation.
Benefits:
- Official recognition as a GEF Student Ambassador with certificate and leadership title.
- Networking with peers globally and mentors linked to GEF.
- Opportunity to attend the Festival event (in Ghana) and engage in activities, workshops, exhibitions and deal-rooms.
- Capacity-building in entrepreneurship, leadership and event activation within your institution.
Eligibility & Requirements:
- Must be an enrolled student at a recognized tertiary institution (university, college) at the time of application.
- Must demonstrate interest in entrepreneurship, innovation or social enterprise.
- Should be willing to act as an ambassador: represent your institution, promote GEF activities locally and participate actively.
- Provide personal details including institution, level/year of study, a short essay or statement of interest.
Application Deadline:
Applications close 21 November 2025.

Helpful Tips for Applicants:
- Highlight any previous involvement in entrepreneurship clubs, innovation hubs, social impact projects or student leadership.
- Show how you intend to engage your campus community: what activities you might organise, how you will spread the word about GEF.
- Make your statement concise and specific: avoid vague phrases, instead mention concrete ways you will act (e.g., host peer workshops, create social-media campaigns, collaborate with student associations).
- Update your LinkedIn profile or other professional social media to reflect your aspirations in entrepreneurship—this may strengthen your application.
- Apply early: competitive roles tend to receive many applications; submitting ahead gives you more time for any follow-up.
