PalmPay, Nigeria’s leading digital banking platform, has launched a N400 million festive rewards campaign, offering users cash prizes and fully sponsored international travel experiences for everyday transactions on its app. The campaign runs from December 17, 2025, to January 8, 2026, and is part of PalmPay’s Purple December brand initiative, which highlights the company’s year-end community and brand engagements.
At the heart of the rewards scheme is the PalmPay World Travel Carnival, an interactive card collection experience. Users earn city cards; London, New York, Dubai, Sydney, and Cape Town, by completing app transactions. Collecting all five city cards and combining them into a World Card unlocks a share of the cash prize pool. Additional cards can be swapped with other users to complete more World Cards, increasing potential rewards.
Beyond cash incentives, the campaign offers Free Global Trips. In each round, the top two users with the highest number of eligible transactions of N100 and above, and at least one World Card, will win an all-expense-paid international trip. The travel package covers visa fees, round-trip airfare, hotel accommodation, meals, side attractions, airport transfers, and all transportation for scheduled activities. Winners are determined via a transparent leaderboard system, with prizes automatically credited at the end of each round on December 25, December 31, and January 8.
Participation involves completing tasks such as Airtime top-ups, data purchases, transfers, and other specific transactions in the app to earn cards, collecting and combining cards into World Cards, swapping cards with friends, and performing additional transactions to climb the leaderboard for the travel prize. PalmPay has implemented strict rules to prevent cheating, bots, fake accounts, and manipulation, with violations potentially leading to disqualification or account bans. Each user is eligible for only one Free Travel Prize during the campaign.
Femi Hanson, Head of Marketing & Communication at PalmPay, said, “This festive rewards campaign is about turning everyday banking into meaningful value for our users. With the World Travel Carnival as the headline activation, we are reinforcing PalmPay’s promise of being the smarter way to bank, where smart financial decisions unlock bigger opportunities.”
PalmPay, launched in Nigeria in 2019, now serves over 35 million users across Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, and Bangladesh, processing up to 15 million transactions daily.
