GrowthGia Shortlists Nigerian SMEs for Business Grant II, Spotlighting Growth
Share

GrowthGia has announced the shortlist for its highly competitive Business Grant II, unveiling the small businesses that have advanced to the next stage of the programme after a nationwide call for applications.

The organizers said the grant attracted more than 700 applications from entrepreneurs across Nigeria, cutting across food processing, fashion, beauty, crafts, agriculture, and retail. According to GrowthGia, the shortlisted entries stood out for the clarity of their business ideas, the effort put into their applications, and clear signs of growth potential in competitive markets.

Businesses selected to move forward include enterprises operating in baking and food services, fashion and footwear production, beauty and personal care, creative crafts, spices and agriculture, as well as children-focused retail. GrowthGia noted that the diversity of the shortlist reflects the depth of Nigeria’s MSME ecosystem and the increasing role of small businesses in job creation and local economic development.

The organisation congratulated all shortlisted applicants and urged them to remain fully engaged as the programme progresses. GrowthGia explained that the next phase of the grant will place stronger emphasis on business readiness, scalability, and innovation, with participants expected to demonstrate how their ventures can grow sustainably and respond to market demand.

Business Grant II is positioned as part of GrowthGia’s broader effort to support early-stage and growing enterprises with funding, visibility, and capacity-building, at a time when access to finance remains a major constraint for many Nigerian small businesses.
