Moniepoint Inc, one of Africa’s leading digital financial services providers, has officially opened applications for the second cohort of its flagship DreamDevs initiative, a high-impact talent development programme designed to equip young African graduates with industry-ready engineering skills and real-world experience.
The DreamDevs programme is a competitive national talent search aimed at identifying and nurturing the next generation of world-class software engineers in Nigeria. Each year, only 20 high-potential graduates are selected to participate in an intensive training journey that combines hands-on learning, mentorship, and direct pathways into employment.
Programme Overview
DreamDevs begins with a rigorous nine-week bootcamp led by experienced software engineers, where participants receive immersive training focused on practical problem-solving and modern engineering tools. Top-performing participants will progress into a six-month internship at Moniepoint, with outstanding interns considered for full-time engineering roles based on performance.
The programme has already demonstrated strong results. From its first cohort, Moniepoint successfully converted four participants into roles within the company, including three interns and one full-time engineer, reinforcing DreamDevs as a credible pipeline for tech talent and employment.
Why This Programme Matters
DreamDevs addresses Africa’s growing tech talent gap by moving beyond theoretical training into real-world application. It complements national initiatives such as the Federal Government’s 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme, where Moniepoint serves as a key sponsor, by providing a specialised pathway from training to employment. Eligibility Criteria
