Accion Microfinance Bank (MfB) has taken a significant step towards empowering female entrepreneurs by equipping them with essential digital skills to enhance their businesses.

In a recent initiative, the bank organized a one-day digital skills boot camp at its headquarters, specifically tailored for female entrepreneurs. The program aimed to acknowledge the increasing importance of social media in today’s business landscape.

Paul Ehiagbonare, Chief Digital Officer at Accion MfB, emphasized the significance of providing female entrepreneurs with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively navigate the digital sphere. In his keynote address, he outlined practical strategies for leveraging digital technologies to drive business growth, focusing on areas such as digital marketing, e-commerce, and operational efficiency through digital tools.

Anita Oguni, Corporate Branding and Digital Communications Manager at Accion MfB, shared valuable insights on social media marketing and content creation. She emphasized the importance of utilizing digital channels to expand customer reach, enhance brand visibility, and foster meaningful engagement with customers.

Participants of the boot camp were awarded certificates of participation upon completion of the program, recognizing their commitment to enhancing their digital skills.

Accion MfB reaffirmed its dedication to promoting financial inclusion and economic empowerment by providing innovative solutions to support businesses in achieving their financial objectives. Through initiatives like the digital skills boot camp, the bank continues to empower entrepreneurs, particularly women, to thrive in an increasingly digital-driven business environment.
