Afreximbank and Ecobank Partners to Boost African Trade and Compliance

  • CAIRO, Egypt, December 19, 2024 – African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) and Ecobank Group have partnered to simplify trade and compliance for African businesses. The integration of Ecobank’s Single Market Trade Hub and Afreximbank’s MANSA Digital Repository Platform aims to provide seamless services for businesses across the continent.
  • The collaboration allows users of the Ecobank Single Market Trade Hub to leverage MANSA’s extensive database for Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) checks. Similarly, MANSA users can access trade opportunities on the Single Market Trade Hub, helping them connect with partners and expand their operations.
  • The Trade Hub connects registered African businesses on a single platform, providing insights into the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA). It serves as a one-stop solution for SMEs and corporations, enabling them to showcase goods and services, match with partners, and conclude transactions using Ecobank’s trade and payment solutions across 35 African markets. MANSA is a centralized platform for due diligence on African entities, promoting transparency and good governance. Businesses registered on MANSA are assigned an African Entity Identifier (AEI) code, granting access to Afreximbank’s products and services. The platform is part of Afreximbank’s Africa Trade Gateway (ATG) marketplace, designed to drive intra-African trade by offering verified information and trusted connections.
