Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation Commits $100 Million to Train 3,000 Public Leaders
Share

At the graduation ceremony of the 3rd cohort for the Aig Public Leaders Program 2024, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede announces the foundation’s commitment to invest $100 million in training up to 3,000 public leaders at a world-class level.

Aig-Imoukhuede emphasizes the need to significantly invest in enhancing the skills of public sector personnel at all levels, from junior to senior positions, citing historical under-investment in this area.

The foundation collaborates with institutions like the School of Oxford to provide training both in Nigeria and abroad, including sending West African public sector employees to Oxford University for master’s degrees in public policy.

Dr. Folashade Yemi Esan, Head of Civil Service, acknowledges the foundation’s contributions in championing digitalization, building capacity among civil servants and providing training programs and mentoring opportunities for permanent secretaries and directors.

Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Tunji Alausa, commends the foundation for its impactful work in building capacity within the public service, stating that it addresses a critical need in the country.
