Airtel Nigeria Receives Recognition for Empowering Women in Tech

Airtel Nigeria was recently honored by the Women’s Technology Empowerment Centre (W.TEC) for its significant contributions in creating opportunities for women and girls in the tech industry.

At W.TEC’s 15th anniversary dinner, the organization applauded Airtel Nigeria’s unwavering dedication to advancing technology in the country. Ms. Oreoluwa Lesi, WTEC’s CEO, expressed gratitude for Airtel’s support, acknowledging their crucial role in encouraging girls to pursue tech careers.

Airtel Nigeria’s CEO, Mr. Carl Cruz, highlighted the company’s commitment to technological advancements and empowering women in tech. He reaffirmed Airtel’s mission to contribute to women’s advancement, ensuring their success in the rapidly evolving tech world.

Mr. Femi Adeniran, Airtel Nigeria’s Head of Corporate Communications and CSR, expressed joy and gratitude for the recognition. He mentioned that this acknowledgment inspires Airtel to continue their CSR interventions, knowing they are making a real difference.

Airtel Nigeria’s Airtel Touching Lives initiative has impacted over 3,672 individuals, demonstrating the company’s commitment to making a positive impact on communities.

This recognition from W.TEC reinforces Airtel Nigeria’s dedication to fostering equality and creating lasting changes in the digital sphere, especially for women and girls in technology.
