Apple has unveiled a new free, customization tool, Apple Business Connect, to users globally – particularly those with businesses.
According to the company, this tool will avail businesses of all sizes to pinpoint their location place cards and customize the way key information appears to every Apple user across its boutique of apps – Maps, Messages, Wallet, Siri, and others.
Apple’s Business Connect which has nuances with Google Business posseses similar features like the latter.
Business Connect, according to Apple, would enable businesses all around the world to directly manage their information on Apple Maps, including adding and updating photographs and logos and asking customers to perform actions like placing a meal order or making a reservation right from Maps.
While Apple Business Connect and Google Business may look a lot alike, the company hasn’t passed on the potential to innovate around a tried-and-true concept.
Its product has other fringe features like Showcases which makes it easier for businesses to offer incentives to customers with the tap of a button.
This is available only in the US for now but will be made accessible globally, soon.
Speaking about the product, Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services said, “We created Business Connect to provide Apple users around the world with the most accurate information for places to eat, shop, travel, and more.”
To register for Business Connect, business owners can use their existing Apple ID or create a new Apple ID by visiting the self-service website.
Business Connect will also incorporate easier payment models for businesses via Apple Pay, contactless credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets.
