Access to funding remains one of the biggest challenges for women-led businesses in Nigeria. The Women Investment Readiness Accelerator (WIRA), powered by Sterling One Foundation and the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) with technical support from Moolu Venture Lab, is designed to bridge that gap. The programme equips female entrepreneurs with the skills, networks, and resources they need to attract investors and scale their businesses.

What You’ll Gain

  • Practical training on investment readiness and business growth strategies
  • One-on-one mentorship from seasoned entrepreneurs and investors
  • Market linkages to connect your business with potential partners and clients
  • Expert guidance on structuring your business for long-term sustainability

Eligibility Criteria

  • Women entrepreneurs based in Nigeria
  • Must run a business generating at least ₦1 million annual revenue
  • Businesses should have growth potential and a clear model for expansion

Program Duration

The accelerator will run for several weeks, blending training sessions, mentorship engagements, and networking opportunities. Exact timelines will be shared with shortlisted applicants.

Deadline

Applications close on October 5, 2025.

Tips for a Strong Application

  • Clearly show your revenue figures with supporting evidence (e.g., sales reports, audited accounts).
  • Emphasize how your business creates impact (jobs created, communities served, innovation introduced).
  • Be specific about the type of investment support you are seeking.
  • Highlight your leadership role and your team’s capacity to execute growth plans.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official WIRA application page: onefoundation.ng/wira
  2. Complete the online form with your personal and business details.
  3. Submit before the deadline: October 5, 2025.

This program is a golden chance for women founders looking to attract investors and grow sustainable businesses.
