Why This Fellowship Matters for Creators

Building trust and credibility is one of the biggest challenges digital creators face today. The News Creator Corps Fellowship addresses this by offering hands-on mentorship, editorial training, and direct collaboration opportunities with U.S.-based newsrooms, nonprofits, and communications partners.

By focusing on skills such as fact-checking, credible sourcing, and effective interviewing, the program equips participants to elevate the quality and impact of their work. It also opens doors to paid partnerships and collaboration opportunities beyond the fellowship itself, allowing creators to grow sustainable careers in the information space.

What Fellows Gain from the Program

  • Financial Support: A $5,000 stipend to sustain your content creation during the program.
  •  Professional Growth: Mentorship and training focused on credible reporting, sourcing, and community engagement.
  •  Collaboration Opportunities: Work directly with publishing, nonprofit, and PR partners to expand your reach and impact.
  • Networking: Build valuable relationships with media professionals and fellow creators committed to fact-based storytelling.

Tips for a Strong Application

  • Demonstrate your impact: Show examples of how your content serves a specific community or tackles relevant issues.
  • Highlight engagement: Share audience metrics or feedback that illustrate how your content connects with people.
  • Emphasize credibility: Explain why professional training matters to your growth as a creator.
  • Submit early: Avoid last-minute errors by completing your application well before the deadline.
