AWS Recognizes Outstanding Black-owned SME Partners with 2024 EEIP Partner Awards

Amazon Web Services (AWS) celebrated the achievements of its partners at the 2024 Equity Equivalent Investment Program (EEIP) Partner Awards ceremony in Johannesburg on May 2nd.

The AWS EEIP is a specialized program designed to empower South African black-owned small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to scale their AWS practices over 18 to 24 months.

Chris Erasmus, AWS Country Manager, expressed pride in the remarkable performance of the partners, noting their significant contributions to the AWS Partner Network’s growth and the creation of job opportunities for South African youth. Partners in the program achieved remarkable growth, with an average revenue increase of 126%.

Since 2020, the AWS EEIP team has successfully onboarded 27 local partners into the program.

The 2024 AWS EEIP Partner Award winners were recognized across various categories:

Training and Certification: Acknowledging partners who surpassed their certification requirements.

  – Disraptor

  – Batsamayi

  – Pax Divitae

Innovation: Recognizing partners who demonstrated innovation for their customers.

  – Batsamayi

  – One Linkage

 AWS Specialization Program: Awarded to partners with specialized technical expertise validated by AWS or third-party auditors.

  – Reliance Cloud

  – Cloudza

  – Koedr

 Partner Tier Progression: Recognizing partners who achieved Advanced tier status on the Amazon Partner Network in less than 18 months.

  – Disraptor

  – Batsamayi

  – Pax Divitae

 Software Path Validation: Awarded to partners who validated their software path.

  – Umdoko Internet Solutions

Training Path Validation: Recognizing partners who validated their training path.

  – ThinkTank

 Social Impact: Honoring partners contributing to social impact through the AWS YES4YOUTH program, promoting youth development and job creation.

  – RelianceCloud

  – Disraptor

  – Solvyng

  – Cloudza

  – Batsamayi

The awards ceremony highlighted the commitment of AWS and its partners to driving innovation, skill development, and social impact in South Africa’s tech ecosystem.
