The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), has won the 2022 Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASMEs) Award for excellence in corporate governance and regulation.

CAC’s Head of Media Unit, Mr. Rasheed Mahe announced this in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja.

Mahe said that the CAC added another award to its shelf during the NASMEs 25th Anniversary Lecture and Award Night recently held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom.

The statement quoted NASMEs president, Dr Abdulrashid Yerima as hailing the commission for its support toward promoting the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the country.

He solicited the commission’s continued collaboration with NASMEs to boost the nation’s economy.

The Registrar-General of CAC, Alhaji Garba Abubakar, received the award thanking NASMEs for recognising the commission’s contributions toward promoting MSMEs’ development in the country.

Abubakar, represented by Duke Ukaga, the Director, Public Affairs of the commission, pledged the continued support and collaboration with the association to further grow the MSMEs sector.

Some organisations awarded at the event included the Development Bank of Nigeria, and the Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC).

Others were the Small and Medium Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), and the Raw Materials Research and Development Council.
