Aftershoot, an industry-leading post-processing software for photographers, announces the launch of its grant program – Aftershoot Create Together Fund 2024. This path-breaking initiative aims to support photographers in building and nurturing local photography communities through workshops, photowalks, model shoots, meetups, and other such offline events.
With a total fund size of US$1 million, the Aftershoot Create Together Fund is set to sponsor up to 750 photography events across the US, UK, Canada, Europe, and Australia/New Zealand by the end of 2025. Grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 will be available, providing financial assistance for venue rentals, equipment, models, props, and more.
Funding
- $1,000 for events up to 20 people
- $2,000 for events up to 40 people
- $5,000 for larger events, per request/proposal
Eligibility
Applicants should meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Active event or wedding photographer with a portfolio of recent work;
- Experience in photography education (online or offline);
- Leader of an existing photography community or network Interested in or beginning to explore hosting photography-related workshops, events, or meetups – Instructor at a photography school or educational institution.
Selection Criteria
They will choose applicants based on:
- Mission alignment: The event you plan to conduct must closely align with Aftershoot’s mission & values.
- Your story: A unique & resonant story with a background that inspires others.
- Your vision: An application & proposal that clearly outlines your vision & goals to build a community.
