The Airtel Africa Foundation University Tech Scholarship is now open, offering fully funded university education to 20 outstanding first-year undergraduate students in Uganda who are pursuing careers in technology and innovation.
This opportunity is designed to remove financial barriers for talented young people with strong academic potential, enabling them to focus fully on building skills that support Africa’s digital growth and future workforce.
Across Africa, the demand for skilled technology professionals continues to rise, yet access to quality education remains a challenge for many students. The Airtel Africa Foundation Tech Scholarship responds to this gap by supporting students at the very start of their academic journey.
By focusing on core technology disciplines such as artificial intelligence, software engineering, and cybersecurity, the scholarship contributes directly to building local expertise that can strengthen innovation, digital infrastructure, and job creation in Uganda.
Unlike partial bursaries, this scholarship covers key academic and living costs, allowing beneficiaries to concentrate on learning rather than financial pressure.
