Women Techies Africa is a sub-program under our Digital Skills Accelerator (DSA) intervention by the Aid for Rural Education Access Initiative (AREAi) and is open ONLY to adolescent girls, young women or female students in their final year of undergraduate studies across African universities between the ages of 16 – 30. Girls who want to build technology-based and in-demand skills for the creative economy.
AREAi is an EdTech non-profit that designs and provides interactive digital and offline learning tools for engaging learning experiences to improve learning outcomes for children, youth and women that are not in education, employment or training.
Digital Skills Development under the Women Techies Africa Program will cut across the following areas:
- Cybersecurity
- Animation
- Illustration
- Product Design
- Content creation & Development
- Motion Graphics & Visual Effects (VFX)
- Digital Marketing & E-commerce.
This hybrid training opportunity presents girls and young women with a life-changing experience for committed focus, personal growth, development, and career progression for in-demand skills for the creative economy.
