If you live in or near and have a passion for agriculture or home-garden farming, then the Arise Home Garden Scheme 2.0 could help you turn that passion into income. The programme offers N500,000 grant funding to support home gardens and small-scale agribusiness — designed for individuals and households aiming to grow food, raise crops or start small agribusiness.

This grant program aims to boost food security, support livelihoods and encourage sustainable agriculture, while enabling beneficiaries to cultivate produce or run small agricultural businesses from home.

What the Scheme Offers (Benefits)

  • N500,000 grant capital — to buy seeds, seedlings, tools, materials, or cover startup costs for small-scale farming or home gardens.
  • Support for home-based agriculture or agribusiness — ideal for households, young people, or small-scale entrepreneurs.
  • Opportunity to generate steady income or food supply for the household or community.
  • Potential to scale — with a grant-backed start, you can grow beyond subsistence gardening into a small agribusiness.
  • Contribution to local food security and community resilience — vital in times of economic uncertainty.

Who Can Apply / Eligibility

  • Individuals or households located in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria (or within reach of the home-garden scheme)
  • People interested in home gardening, small-scale farming, or agribusiness
  • Those willing to use the grant for agricultural purposes: seeds, tools, garden maintenance, small-scale production
  • Ability to commit effort and time required to manage a home garden or small farm

How to Apply

Visit the official Arise Home Farms site:
👉 Apply here: https://arisehomefarms.akwaibomstate.gov.ng/

Complete the online application form, providing necessary personal, address and agriculture-plan details as required.
