The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is renowned for its commitment to promoting education and ensuring the welfare of students across Nigeria.

The ASUU Undergraduates Scholarship 2025 is a golden opportunity for academically gifted Nigerian students to receive financial support for their studies.

This scholarship is aimed at easing the financial burden of tertiary education while encouraging academic excellence among Nigerian undergraduates.

The ASUU Undergraduates Scholarship 2025 is a merit-based financial aid program designed to support students enrolled in public universities in Nigeria.

By awarding scholarships to deserving students, ASUU seeks to foster a culture of academic dedication and ensure that financial constraints do not hinder access to quality education.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the ASUU Undergraduates Scholarship 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Nationality:
    • Applicants must be Nigerian citizens.
  2. Enrollment Status:
    • Candidates must be full-time undergraduate students enrolled in any public university in Nigeria.
  3. Academic Performance:
      • Applicants must be indigent
      • Applicant must be a registered student of any University with a recognised ASUU Branch
      • Applicant must have a good academic performance (CGPA of 3.0 and above)
  4. Year of Study:
    • The scholarship is open to students in their second year (200 level) or above.
  5. Field of Study:
    • Students from all fields of study are eligible to apply.
  6. Financial Need:
    • Applicants must demonstrate a clear need for financial assistance to continue their education.
  7. Union Membership Status:
    • The applicant’s parent or guardian must be a current or retired member of ASUU.
  8. Other Requirements:
    • Applicants must provide a letter of recommendation from a faculty member in their department.

      • Academic transcripts showing their current CGPA.
      • A letter of recommendation from a faculty member.
      • Evidence of financial need (e.g., income statement of parent/guardian).
      • A passport-sized photograph.
